I have spent nearly every year of my life in South Carolina, whether it was Lancaster county where I was born and raised (LHS 94), Richland county where I went to College and met my wife or Georgetown county where his wife brought him home too, the sandlapper state has always been home.
I started working at the age of 12 and had many different jobs through High School and College. After College I found out that sales was my strong suit because I loved solving problems and making people satisfied. I had a long career in the Commercial Fuel Industry where we grew a small fuel company into a much larger company that became acquired by a national player. After the sale of that company, I joined my brother Marty in the family business at HFC. Yeah I know, they say never work with family but I say if they already know how crazy you are you should be ok. Marty was the typical “Big Brother”, you know the one that says, “go make me a sandwich”, “bring me a glass of tea”, “rake the leaves that daddy told me to”. And I did it too because I loved him like a brother is supposed to and not because he was 150lbs heavier and 4 foot taller and mean. Does God say forgive and forget or forget to forgive?
I spend nearly 100% of my spare time with my wife of 20 years, Ginny and my two awesome sons, Braxton and Dawson. You can usually find us in our flounder pounder in Pawleys Creek or you can find us on the deer trail on our family farm. Every Sunday and many other days of the week you can also find us at First Baptist Church Georgetown where I serve as a deacon and also head up the security team. Please come join us one Sunday, we would love to have you!
