Who is Judy Lisenby?

 

A little bit about Judy…

 

I was born in Lancaster SC, the 3^rd of 4 daughters. Many clients don’t know that Geneva, who also works here, is my older sister. I’m thankful that I grew up in simpler times.

I love to spend time with family and friends. They are all very important to me. I have a son (Brian) who is married to Mandy. Two wonderful grandchildren, Haden and Brylen.

I love to travel. I have three more states to visit and I will have visited all 50 states. Out of all my travels, my favorite place is Hawaii. It is absolutely beautiful. The waterfalls, landscapes, sunrises and sunsets are absolutely beautiful. I visited Haleakala volcano on Maui. Many visitors wake up early to drive to the Haleakalā Visitor Center, the best spot to watch what may be the most spectacular sunrise on earth. As the sun peeks over the horizon, an ever-changing swirl of color and light dances across the vast sea of clouds. It was so beautiful. Our guide on the trip said to me it was the most beautiful sunrise he’d ever seen.

The Six Pack

I’m a member of the Six Pack- made up of six ladies from different backgrounds, ages, who became friends 40+ years ago. I can’t remember but one of our husbands named us “The Six Pack”. The ladies are me, Carol Howle, Phyllis Oliver, Linda Dennis, Peggy Hunter and Barbara Carter.

Even though we all worked somewhere within Springs Industries, we didn’t get together until we all met through PSI. PSI is Professional Secretaries International.

We loved to travel. Peggy had a place at the beach so we would spend a lot of time there. We did travel a lot throughout the Southeast attending PSI conventions. We had a lot of fun. Those are the memories that will stay a lifetime.

Sadly, our Six Pack team has dwindled down to four. Carol Howle passed away on March 16th, 2015 and Phyllis Oliver passed away March 15th, 2019.
