That “city slicker” met Jesus and became a full-time Student Pastor. I enjoy serving in ministry with him, spending time with our extended church family.

Shawn and I have 2 married sons, Darren (Ashlyn) serves in the US Army and Trey (Alayna) is a local firefighter. I’m proud that our sons have decided to choose careers that serve. The joy of my life are my grandchildren, Roland and Haddie. They say the reason for children are the grandchildren! Family is very important to me.

My family has lived on the same land since the 1940’s. We recently moved over to my grandparents’ farmhouse. We are currently restoring the house and buildings on the property.

A little bit about Lora…

 

I was born and raised right here in good ol’ Lancaster SC.

I met Shawn, my husband, when we both worked at Bilo. I was a cashier and he stocked groceries. He tells people he “fell in love with that girl wearing Khaki pants, white shirt and had some big black hair.” We’d often sneak back in the stock room to “smooch”. My daddy was concerned with me being a country girl dating what he would call a “city slicker”. We’ve been married over 30 years. I guess it all worked out with that “city slicker”.
