Moving to Lancaster SC and Purchasing a Home?

Visit the county administration building for property tax, proof of residency for home

A couple of things to keep in mind. You have to go to the DMV first to get your driver’s license but you have to go to the Lancaster County’s Assessors office to pay the taxes first before you are issued a tag.

As far as the home taxes, you have to show the Assessor’s Office a SC driver’s license and a SC vehicle registration in order to get the Legal Residence exemption.
